In April 2004 - Ken and Lyn Overton's life suddenly changed, when as a result of Lyn having a broken leg, a clot activated causing her to collapse, resulting in serious brain damage.

Doctors reported that Lyn was clinically medically dead for over 30 minutes, then rushed to hospital and placed on life support.

Lyn Overton had a pulmonary embolus resulting in three cardiac arrests, a bleed into her brain, causing a stroke and full paralysis to the right side of her body.

A decision was made that Lyn undergo major neurological surgery following these events. Since this time there has been a miraculous recovery to the point where she is now driving her car again.
